The sun is bright, and the days are longer, allowing us to spend more time outdoors and enjoy recreational activities. Being outdoors and close to nature, I experience a sense of stillness and positive energy from the lush green trees, wildlife, chirping birds, and water streams.

Studies have shown that people who spend time outdoors are happier, healthier, and cognitively and physically stronger.

June is Great Outdoors Month.

Dust off your bike, let's go outdoors and enjoy Mother Earth.

Benefits Of Biking

Biking is one of the least expensive ways to improve your health and wellness.

Biking is a safe form of cross-training exercise with health and fitness benefits: it increases muscular strength and endurance in the legs, improves our cardiovascular fitness, and joint mobility.

Most importantly, you can spend time with your friends and family while staying healthy.

The upfront costs for a bike, helmet, and pump can range from a few hundred to thousands of dollars. I highly recommend going to your local bike specialty shop and getting fitted for a proper bike and helmet.

The price depends on whether you want to ride for leisure or competitively. For me, it is for relaxation.

Hydrate And Sunscreen To Protect Your Body

Drink plenty of water. Our body weight can fluctuate dramatically and quickly, especially after exercising in the heat.

Sunscreen is vital, especially during the summer months. Purchase a sunscreen with a protection factor (SPF) of 15 or greater to cover your skin. The higher the SPF in sunscreen, the more protected your skin is against UV radiation.

Apply a generous amount of sunscreen to all areas of the face, neck, ears, nose, hands, and legs.

Biking is one of the most affordable ways to improve your health and wellness. Get outdoors, enjoy nature, and breathe fresh air.

Enjoy the summer season!
